If your pond is greater than seven feet deep, on average, you to need us a diffuser system. Surface fountains and typical aerators don’t aerate deeply enough to get to the lower depths of deep ponds, depriving fish and your pond’s health of the benefits of aeration even at deep levels. Robust-Aire systems pump compressed air from a shore-mounted compressor through self-weighted lines to a diffuser on the pond, lake or tank bottom. The diffuser then continuously releases micro-bubbles that rise to the surface carrying large volumes of water. This induces oxygen-transfer as well as beneficial water movement and mixing.
At 15ft. of depth, 2 diffusers will move 6300 gallons per minute (378,000 gallons per hour!) using 2.5 amps. That is only about .72 a day at $0.10 KW hour!
