Best quality pond fountains around?
We believe in Kasco since Kasco Marine employs several engineers and biologists in order to offer the most reliable equipment and the highest levels of aeration. Their unique pumps work even in shallow waters. But in order to find the best fountain or aerator for you, first you must determine your goals. Once you know your goals, you can figure out which of the three kinds of pond aerators you need to buy.
Stictly Best Quality Pond Aeration: If your unit is strictly for aeration, then it is best to just stick to a pond aerator. A pond aerator produces the most oxygenation of the three kinds of pond fountains. (The aerator is not a “normal” fountain, but sends larges bubbles to the surface of pond.) It has no nozzle, but works by means of a propeller. These may be purchased with a float or may be attached to a dock if preferred.
Best Quality Display: If your unit is as much for display as it is aeration, then Kasco has a full line of JF-series fountains, from 3/4 HP to 7 1/2 HP. Each of these kits comes complete with float, control box (with timer and a human-rated GFCI), motor, cable to the shore, and five easy-to-change nozzles. Several LED light packages are offered.
Compromise Position: The VFX series offers the best balance of display and aeration. If you are looking for a display but still put a large emphasis on aeration, then the Kasco VFX-series the the right choice. These aerating fountains do not use a nozzle but a propeller just like the pond aerator, but because they do not use nozzles, only one pattern is available, the classic V-pattern. Motors are available in 1/2 HP to 5 HP. These units also come complete with float, control box (with timer and a human-rated GFCI), motor, cable to the shore, but do NOT have nozzles. For that reason they aerate more than the JF series.
